See you all Thursday.
UPDATE: April 16th 09:16 am
Thanks to Rafiq for submitting the Open Coffee Club Cape Town meet-up announcement I did to muti.co.za. We’re currently number 2 on the MUTI HOT LIST.

UPDATE: April 16th 09:25 am
As many of you know, I enjoy socialising working on Facebook, so I’ve set up a group on Facebook for the OpenCoffeeClub in Cape Town - the group is “OpenCoffeeClub Cape Town”
UPDATE: April 16th 10:15 am (this proves Internet speed!)
Saul Klein, the founder of the Open Coffee Club worldwide, just sent me the following email:
“Any pics you tag opencoffee in flickr will show up in opencoffeeclub.org as will
any blog posts tagged opencoffee”
So when you blog about the Cape Town event, include “opencoffee” as one of your tags, so that it shows up on the global opencoffeeclub.org site.
UPDATE: April 16th 10:44 am
Rob Stokes from Quirk posted the following on the GottaQuirk blog which nicely summarises the Open Coffee Club:
“The OpenCoffee club it seems was the brain child of Philip Wilkinson but is driven entirely by ex-Skype Marketing VP (and South African!), Saul Klein.
It began in London as an open forum for networking entrepreneur’s and investors in a way that reminds me of First Tuesday except with a far more open source or unconference vibe. I remember chatting to Nic about the first one which he attended and the feeling then was that it really had potential to grow into something great. Turns out he was right and thanks to Saul, after only 6 weeks it has already spread to over 25 events across the globe.”

Eric, this is a good idea. Thanks for making me aware of the other coffee clubs happening around the world too. I’m going to see if I can make the one in Palo Alto, CA this week since I’m here for a conference anyway.
Let us know how it goes.

Will you hold a meeting in Durban anytime soon?
13 Eric // Dec 6, 2007 at 11:17 am
@Jean - I don’t think there is a Coffee Club happening in Durbs at the moment
There is one in Cape Town and a group in JHB (see DigitalGarage.co.za for details of the JHB one)
