Eve Dmochowska just asked me to spread the word that the first Open Coffee club in Joburg is happening this Thursday at the Hilton Hotel Coffee Lounge in Sandton @ 7.30 (well, it is a Coffee Club so a Coffee Lounge is a great choice).
The Cape Town coffee club has had 2 successful meet-up’s to date, and resulted in a number of deals - here’s Henk Kleyhans from Skyrove:
Although I had already met Vinny from Lingham Capital before, and even discussed the possibility of them investing, it was surprizingly in the informal environment of the Open Coffee Club in Cape Town that things very suddenly fell into place.
I told him briefly what our revenues were looking like, how much money we needed and broadly what we plan to do with it.
His reply: “I can do that”.
Within a few weeks we had signed the deal.
