Since going to Rus Nerwich’s brilliant live performance @ the Waiting Room in Long Street on Wednesday night, I could feel I wasn’t 100%.
Yesterday, I was feeling weak, but my mild headache wasn’t stopping me from getting things done.
By the time I got to John’s place in Camps Bay last night, I was feeling remarkably better and enjoyed a glass of red wine, while the conversation focussed on futurist predictions…
When is the next global financial crisis going to take place, and will it be a recession or a 30’s like depression?
Who will be the next president of South Africa?
At 7am this morning I woke up with a SPLITTING HEADACHE - the left side of my forehead felt like someone was holding a candle below it! I even considered that I might be having an aneurysm. Finally I took a panado, which is something I seldom do. And then another when the first didn’t help…
And after a few hours of slow agonising pain, my body and medicine combined forces and started winning the battle.
Once I could focus, I picked up the new book I had decided to read next as I finished Malcolm Gladwell’s brilliant read “Blink“. However, for some reason, after opening to the first page, I changed my mind and decided to rather read Anthony Robbins “Unlimited Power”.
I’ve just finished the first chapter and had 2 thoughts:
1. I sure hope the rest of the book is this good! I keep hearing the word “Action” in these types of books, and once again, it’s number 2 on Robbins 4 part goal for achieving success. It’s SO TRUE. I still have a number of things that are on my to-do list, which I speak about often, and the only thing holding them back is ACTION.
2. I’ve re-realised (for the umpteenth time in many years), how amazing reading the RIGHT material is, and am taking a break to investigate SPEED READING. I’m planning on reading a LOT MORE in the future, and want to be able to get through the material much faster than I’m doing at the moment.
Sorry Chris, Shelly, Gavin, Dave, Shelle - I’m sorry I cancelled on all of you today, but when we do get together, my mind will be more focussed, ready to take on the challenges…
Today I’ll be spending with Anthony.

Hey Eric,
Great having you last night!
We must do more futuristic conversations and I can’t wait to see who the GQ president will be!
Hope the headache sorts itself out.
John

I just finished reading blink and am busy reading awaken the giant within, anthony’s second book. Read unlimited power years ago. You should read wayne dyers 10 secrets for success and inner peace too. Happy reading. It gets addictive, i know
