The Times Hypes up The Sunday Times

I find it highly amusing that…

YoungBlood AKA Colin Daniels (self described as “the New Media Strategy Manager at The Times as well as a host of other things…”)

…………that is from: THE TIMES

writes a blog post stirring up the latest crowd-sourcing actions of…

Columnist and blogumnist The Bullog AKA David Bullard from the Sunday Times (self described as “The blogosphere’s very own toxic waste dump…”)

…………that is from: THE SUNDAY TIMES & THE TIMES

Did blogger Eran Eyal from eSquaredFashion really throw 2 models out of eSquared yesterday as they were just too beautiful?

NB: IN THE FOLLOWING POINTS I’M BEING SARCASTIC. WEZZO POINTED OUT TO ME THAT NOT EVERYONE REALISED I WAS BEING SARCASTIC!!!!!!!!!!

(Now Eran, as I’ve said something slightly controversial driving traffic to your site, (which as many of you know is also one of my sites), perhaps you can say something slightly controversial to drive up the traffic on EricEdelstein.com?)

And Colin & David - now that I’ve driven a ton of traffic to both your websites, perhaps you’d be so kind as to return the favour so the TRAFFIC FLOWS to my 2 sites?

As an added incentive, I’ll give you some FREE SEO advice - change the URL’s you are using for your blog entry’s - instead of them being numbered, change your blog software so keywords show up in your URL’s. The easiest way is to change the software so the title of your blog post becomes the keywords for that URL.

So Colin’s URL for the posting on Bullog would change from:

http://blog.colindaniels.co.za/?p=216

to..

http://blog.colindaniels.co.za/?p=newsflash-bullard-crowdsources-on-his-blog/

And in the blink of an eye you have some keyword rich URL’s…(just remember if you do it for your legacy URL’s, you’ll lose value on your current incoming links & visitors clicking on those links might get a little confused going to a NOT FOUND, or home page redirection)

It seems one post a day is reserved for you coming out fighting. I’m not too sure if it’s a strategy to drive in more hits; if you really are that pompous or if you don’t mean too much by it, but want to start a 30 comment debate.

“now that I’ve driven a ton of traffic to both your websites…” - I take it, that’s sarcasm.

[...] happened that made me realize that some people will stop at nothing. First, Eric Edelstein’s post about the Sunday Times. Jesus Christ, what is that exactly?? And then the Facebook.co.za “blog” that is now [...]

Could we get down to the real issue here, which is the fact that Eric spelled the plural of ‘entries’ as ‘entry’s’?

In the spirit of the ongoing battle against rogue apostrophes and all that.

Sarah - brilliant! That will keep me laughing the rest of the afternoon…

Never mind rogue apostrophes, I’m raising a nested parentheses alert :-)
