South Africa’s really starting to step up the notch with Internet start-up’s. Vinny might have headed to Silicon Valley, but a couple of us are determined to try get our start-up’s to work in South Africa. (Nic - that should please you - guys, if you haven’t taken a look at the brilliant new SA Rocks design by Mark Forrester, check it out)
After we announced the launch of our tshirt competition site last week, I just heard from Charl Norman (who is a bit of a celeb in the Internet world after being featured on Carte Blanche last week) that his social media site Blueworld has had a facelift.
It looks pretty HOT - especially the little blue terror sprouting out the following describing blueworld:
Blueworld.co.za is a South African online social community. The website allows you to create a profile so that you can interact with your friends or make new friends altogether. With your profile you can create an online presence for yourself using tools like blogging, video sharing, photo uploading, tagging and creating groups. You can also keep track of friend’s activities and check out photos from the hottest events.
Internet Start-up’s unite! Silicon Valley is going into 3rd place (there, I didn’t leave JHB out!)

Thanks for the mention bud
